Well I think I would prefer spaghettiburgers and Chicken Fried Steak Burgers to spaghettipizza and Chicken Fried Steak Pizza due to the portion size.

Burgers are great but they're a pretty specific thing while pizza has a lot of options

I mean is there anything stopping me from having other combinations of beef sandwiches that aren't outright burgers?

This is hard because I love pizza, but burgers are available much more widely and overall I eat them more often.

Think I would pick pizza because it would force me to be more adventurous at restaurants.

Burgers and it's not even close.

Like maybe I like pizza a bit more in a particular meal but the idea that it's more flexible sounds really wrong to me. having pizza more than like once a month feels like a ton to me whereas burgers can be way more of a common staple, both in what I can cook at home, the massive amount of different kinds of fast food burger places, as well as gourmet burgers at sit down restaurants. Taking out burgers would be so much more noticeable to me.

Pizza pretty easily.

It's pretty common for pizza to be offered as the assumed social meal, either when meeting with a group of friends in the evening or at work for lunch. It's an extremely convenient and even social thing to be able to eat.

By contrast, very rarely will burgers be the only thing offered, and if you and a group of friends decide to stop at a burger place for a meal, there are other options there (especially if other sandwiches are allowed). About the only time it can come up is if someone specifically decides to make burgers (and even then they might have a few veggie patties or whatever just in case) but that's extremely rare compared to all the times pizza comes up.

Oh and I probably like pizza better. Close enough that the other concerns take priority anyway.
