As I recall, she was one of the leaders pushing that witch hunt after Bret Weinstein. Apparently she's a leading voice on some diversity council or something and has the ear of Evergreen's president.

If the Forbes article above is correct it's much worse than that lol.

It is probably sensible to be wary of curriculum that is geared toward promoting activism, rather than educating with knowledge and skills. But, as I recall, one of the primary pillars of postmodernism is to question learned and established knowledge and ways of learning (like the scientific method) and replacing them with individual narratives (lived experiences).

to expand on this.
the idea is routed in the belief that there is no such thing as objectivity. That all findings are tainted with a bias to reinforce the ideas of the people in power(you'll constantly see an obsession with power dynamics if you look up the philosophy). If you want a specific example of this, look up standpoint theory.

Its not just something that is applied by post modernists, that whole thing lead to the mass starvation in the soviet union when they listened to Lysenko and institute his ideas regarding agriculture(plants will work communally), rejecting darwins ideas of evolution(oversimplifying but basically competition) as bourgeois capitalist nonsense.

Sounds like hippies... You can't just know things man. My truth is different from yours. In my world gravitational acceleration is 9 m/s2 instead of 9.81 m/s2. In my head, I can dunk the basketball lol.

Anyway, article is a good read. I had no idea Evergreen was this much of an academic joke:

Yes you did. People have been telling you for months that it's not a respected university.

Not respected as in completely brainwashed by far-left propaganda. I had no idea it was basically on par with clown college in terms of academia. Actually, clown college is more rigorous, since at least that's an employable trade.

So, that's why they say feminism is cancer (yes, I know cancer isn't a viral infection. The metaphor is it spreads malignantly).

But yes, it does seem like the goal of classes like Women's Studies hasn't been to just educate, but to produce activists and "progressive" minded people who will take their activism into othrt fields.

the reason why they sound vague, is because they believe the problem is the entire society.. that everything is done just to reinforce white privilege or in science everything is done to reinforce science for males(even a poster in this topic expressed this, guess who)

but there will be issues raised within your statement. You will be told you are looking to make the problem they face about yourself. Also if you listened to the professors statement, your very existence is part of the problem.

Very few social movements have one cohesive message that they stick to. I mean if you look at the Civil Rights movement, MLK and Malcolm X had two different opinions on the role of whites and addressing institutionalized racism. MLK believed that working together was the way to a better society, where as Malcolm X believed that each group should work within itself and fixing problems that pertain to that specific group.

Now this isn't to defend this Evergreen lady, obviously she's a very fringed opinion, but it is possible for there to be two different "solutions" within the same activist group.

did this "school" lose public funding yet

Did they ever have it? I thought they weren't legitimate.

All the outrage aside, here's one thing that these people say that I'm trying to wrap my head around. Do they want white people to "fix it" or not? I hear two things at the same time: No, we can't help, and yes, we must be the ones to help.

the radicals just want you all to stop existing or stay out of sight basically
they don't want any of you in power anymore, they don't want to see you in media
they want you to disappear, same kind of rhetoric used by typical racists

except white chicks
for some hilarious reasons they're made an exception despite significantly benefiting and contributing to white privilege too
because a fuck load of black, asian, hispanic/latino/whatever people still fetishize the white woman as a sexual conquest

like a lot of these butthurt critics always bashing whites are not really honest about what they actually want
because what they claim to hate is a primary source of a type of woman they put on a pedestal
when most of them say anti-white they really mean anti-white male, because in their eyes you don't got a use, just the women do

it's primitive and two faced af, so stop buyin into it
that's why i don't tell any of my white friends to give in to stupid white guilt
it's just a scam to casually take advantage of white folk with a conscience, to con them into steppin aside or cough up $$$

why is that bad?
because the white folk with a conscience are the good ones
we want MORE of them around supporting minority issues, not pissed off and apathetic towards us because assholes tricked them...

Is that why it seems 60% of the people playing social justice crusader are angry white chicks?

those white chicks are just tryin to distance themselves from criticism aimed at white folk for being privileged and they are slicker than snot about it, by shiftin the focus on white men it makes it so less people think about white chicks being privileged too

when you wanna talk racial privilege in the US, white chicks are one of the top 2 demographics on the ladder, fact
but the snarky entitled ones don't wanna be called on it, they don't wanna be confronted about havin white privilege
so what they do? blame it all on the men, easy way out
they conveniently use white men as a lightning rod for criticism so nobody calls them on their own

some white chicks got personal reasons to despise white men too
sometimes they got burned by a few white guys and their hate is fair
sometimes a fat ugly Lena Dumbham is just salty she can't get no hot white guys so she makes it her life mission to hate white men

but when these crazy white chicks are busy dumpin on white men with bullshit rhetoric, who's agreeing with them? who's nodding their heads sayin "yeah girl you're absolutely right, white men are out of control, its terrible you had to grow up with them as a white woman, it's not your fault"..?

-white women and nonwhite people who hate white men
-white men loaded with white guilt tryin to prove they're not monsters
-nonwhite guys who got a hard on for white women and hate white male competition
-just about any super left extremist

they all get some benefit out of demonizing white men

it's not the nice minority couple Robert and Kyara down the road who been on good terms with white folk for years that are agreein with these dumb radicals, it's all the haters

nothing brings critics together faster to online echo chambers than hate
white dudes been top of the US food chain for years, you better believe they got haters now
and modern media is an effective slingshot for hate
