These loud, rowdy dudes were at the subway station just jumping around and screaming random shit. So naturally, they end up in the same train cart I did.

We get to a stop where one of them have to get off. So the one that have to get off stands at the doorway and have this unnecessarily long handshake with one of his friends and they block the door from closing.
Another one of his friends go and give him another unnecessarily long farwell handshake and again, the door gets blocked from closing and the train starts making a loud buzzing noise and I guess the conductor blew the horn. This caused the guy at the door to start yelling about how he's not going to get off the train.
But the part that really bugged me was he saw some random dude sitting nearby minding his own business. He asked the guy to come here, so the guy's like, "Yeah, what's up?" and extends his upper body to him before the crazy dude slaps him and walks off the train yelling a bunch of shit that I can't seem to understand and throwing up what I assume were gang signs while his friends all howled in laughter.
There was a girl sitting in front of me recording these guys and she turns back at me laughing like that was the funniest shit she saw and she was giving me this look like, "How funny was that"? But I couldn't laugh at that. I was very concerned with everyone involved.

Anyway, the crazy dude's friends spent the rest of the ride just laughing and making fun of the guy he slapped while he's trying his hardest to ignore them. They're saying shit like he's not going to do anything and that he's surrounded while running up and down the train, bouncing off the seats and shit. There were, like, 5 or 6 of them after all.
These guys eventually got off at a stop and pretty much everybody on the train starts comforting the victim.

Like, imagine being in a scary situation like that. I was scared just being nearby. I don't understand how some people just go around acting like that. They must have been on drugs or something and were looking to start shit with soneone. To make it worse, you know the girl is going to put that shit on social media just so more people can laugh at the guy. I ride on the train with some crazy motherfuckers.

MARTA is ridden predominantly by Black people, so yes, the dudes were all black. One looked like he might have had a bit of Latino in him. The guy they attacked, however, was a chubby white kid.

I only ride Marta from Sandy Springs to the airport and back which is admittedly not very often, however, it does span one of the longest lengths of track and cuts through every stop in Atlanta North/South and it's always quiet. I do see occasionally what I suspect are homeless guys who are just riding trains back and forth and never get off, but other than that it's generally a much calmer experience than the new york subway. holy shit. literally every time I go there someone comes in and starts screaming about how everyone is dying because all of humanity is not vegan.

Sandy Springs is the nicer part of Atlanta. The further down you go on the train line, the worse it starts to get. The southbound stations before you reach the airport is pretty much the shit neighborhoods.
It's a shame that when you come here from the airport and have to take the train to get to where you need to go, this will be one of the first impressions that you get of the state.

And yeah, there are plenty of the same homeless people that more or less stay on the train with the same story. I recognize too many of them.
