It seems that recently Gamefaqs cleared out a few of the boards to make more room on the site or some crap, and I want to know why we still have split boards of Pro Wrestling. Seems to me if you wanted to clear space, that would be an easy one to do.

WWE and the other feds are very much their own products. I don't really see a problem with them being split. Then you have the social board which is always kinda dead, but there's a small group that frequents it there and it's not a bad place to post stuff that would get modded as "off topic". Good board to just shoot the shit. E-Fed board is dead and I don't really have anything to say there. Tournament board (which hasn't been used to a tournament in over a decade) has always been for either prediction games or RPing (which is just an E-Fed on the wrong board sorta).

But I think the main three boards (WWE, Other and Social) are all fine as they are. If I wanna talk Lucha Underground or TNA, I go to the Other Fed board. Everything WWE related is on the WWE board. It's really just that I don't see much use in merging them.

Might try G1 later, but I've seen plenty of New Japan to know what to expect, which isn't mt favorite flavor of wrestling more often than not.
