In Tekken, Asuka is a frankenstein of Jun and some other bits and pieces borrowed from others.

But Asuka is way hotter than Jun so idc.

MVCI is bad enough on its own that you don't need to bring up shit that every game does.

Its the fact Capcom is putting in the bare minimum effort. Recycled assets are nothing new. "New characters" being nothing but recycled assets is fucking lazy and stupid.

they're being paid to make the game. they're not being paid to make it good.

If you want someone to blame for MVCI's problems, it's Disney who is just pushing it out as shilling for MCU.

It's literally a movie tie-in game and those are almost never good.

Remember how in the 90s major record labels would pair hit singles with awful b-tracks from popular bands to force you to spend $20 to get the 1 or 2 songs you really wanted? That's basically Capcom's strategy here. Pair a few "must haves" in with lazy recycled garbage and gamble on gamers' desire to pay full price for what's effectively 1 or 2 characters. Then make the rest DLC.

Pretty sure one of the Capcom guys already came out and said no one cares about the characters, they care about the movesets, and that characters in MvCI will have matching move sets from missing characters in previous games.

those television ads for music collections are the same thing.

"All the hits from (popular band) in one collection!"

You get it and literally every single good song was played in the 90 second commercial and the rest of it is their pure garbage that even die hard fans don't like.

that's not what happened.

I mean it did, but it's not because capcom is out of touch, it's because Der Mousenfuhrer said X-Men and Fantastic Four weren't allowed to be in the game. That was the best positive spin they could come up with.
