I am in Montreal now, Hengsha and Tai Yong Medical were so much fun. It's not Hong Kong from Deus Ex but it's not that far behind it. How much longer do I have in the game btw? Have 28 hours in right now

The boss fights are SO much better in DX.

Like, there's actually a way for hacker types to deal with it.

I have 6 praxis points available

Dude, if you play like I play, by the last couple hours of the game you'll be thinking "Well, which of these shitty options is the LEAST shitty?"

It is a god idea to keep a few points on-hand in case a situation arises.

If you haven't put 5 points into hacking, use those points for it NOW.

Also, fun fact: You can use your cloaking to get through lasers. Not sure they ver mention that in-game.

Off topic but having never played a DX game, will I enjoy Mankind Divided without having to play the previous games? All I have is a Ps4 and that's my only option. Is it any good?

Never mind, I thought you meant Human Revolution because I can't read.

MD is tricky since its a sequel to human revolution and they reference a lot of stuff from that game. its still enjoyable and you should be able to fallow everything, but expect some head scratching at points. if pc is an option they all tend to go on sale frequently for very cheap (and not to really knock MD, but id say its the worst DX game behind Invisible War).

thanks for the advice, I was wondering if typhoon would come in handy. I've been nonlethal stealth so I haven't put anything into stuff like that yet. the first boss fight was kinda tough and I basically just sniped from the upper portion of that arena

@SSJGrimReaper I'm playing the director's cut

lol yeah that's how I feel about it. I have several points in hacking stealth and to hack up to level 4 as well as turrets. I see no need for fortify anymore cause I have like 30 stop viruses and 50 nuke viruses

I upgraded cloak to the max and I found that out recently when I used cloak to get into the vent past a laser grid for that laser part in TYM

truth be told I miss the boss fights of DX and being able to use a GEP gun to blow them up as they started talking to me

second boss fight is way more miserable and you do NOT want to fight it straight up

when you activate typhoon, you create a cutscene in which you deal about 60% damage to the boss. you can then activate it again.

I sure hope there's typhoon ammo in montreal then cause I haven't been holding onto any, my inventory is full cause I was hoping to sell some more guns but there was no chance to

In the OG version, you just had that main room, then small rooms at each corner.

Basically the only way for a stealthy type to beat him was to throw barrels.

it came in handy a few times, but those conversation sequences are so rare that its not really worth spending the points on, but then you get so many points by the end of this game anyway that youd probably already have everything youre really interested in by the 2/3rds point.

The social one is one of the first things I upgrade, honestly. It makes some encounters way more interesting and have better outcomes. But I just like the mechanics of it for some reason.

Extra batteries can come in handy when shit gets hectic. Especially fun for chaining takedowns.

lol at no-reload, as with the original DX I used up all 100 save blocks like midway thru detroit

DX I was saving and reloading constantly and those saves took up a lot of space

At least the Director's Cut lets you be able to stealth whack the bosses (except the last fight, lol)

But yeah.

Typhoon for all the regular bosses.
Stealth as MUCH as you can to nab all the extra EXP from non-lethal takedowns (this game's more heavy-handed with how Stealth runs get you more experience points compared to Mankind Divided).
Getting ALL the hack ugprades including ones to manipulate cameras and turrets (thank us later).
You can ignore the gun-related augments until later, ESPECIALLY if running non-lethal.
Have enough inventory space near end-game (you'll know it) so you can grab the laser rifle. TRUST ME ON THIS. Save that thing for the final boss.

Oh, the CASIE social augment is rather fun, there's ONE sidequest where using it will give the quest a... not very great ending.

good advice

final boss is also bullshit

basically the creators of this game contracted out boss fight gameplay to some other dev and they wrote it for a third person shooter
