So the original DBZ had over 100 episodes worth of filler that Kai managed to trim out, especially when it came to a certain arc on a certain planet... "Are they still on Namek?" "Yes." The biggest flaw of the original was how unbelievably slow it progressed, and the much faster pace in Final Act fixed that flaw.
