There needs to be a 10 second pitch timer. If the pitcher goes over it, it's an automatic ball, and if the batter goes over it by stepping out of the box it's an automatic strike. And half of the games are played in the summer when no other sport is playing. More offense means more runs are scored, more batters come to bat, more pitches are thrown, and the game takes longer. If you want games to be shorter, make pace of game changes but don't complain when a game ends in a low and unexciting score like 1-0 or 2-1. If you want more offense and more excitement, don't complain about sitting there and watching a game for 3+ hours. Though i'll admit I wish we could come up with a solution for excessive fouls.
