Sometimes I think South Park focuses too much on doing satire of the current pop/political scene rather than the kids going on some goofy adventures where satire is a little more subtle. The first two seasons were by far my favorite, 3 and 4 were great, and 5-8 were pretty good but with some shitty episodes. Just got worse from there. Most characters have been heavily "Flanderized" (especially Cartman, Randy, and Mr. Garrison), they're way too relient of current events, and there's too many trilogy episodes.
