I'd accept a Royals championship. Cubs is worst case scenario, Red Sox is a close second, and the Yankees I guess are the third worst but that wouldn't ruin my life at least like the top two. The only reason why a Royals win would suck would be because they'd have taken the Astros down and I'd like to see the Astros win it all. The rest would be completely fine

Yeah, the Royals aren't actually that bad, but I feel like they had their moment. Realistically I'd probably root for them over the Dodgers and maybe the Diamondbacks, but that's just a division thing and I wouldn't expect people in general to feel that way

The Cardinals once again failed to reach .500 today and luckily I didn't even think to check when the game was on and didn't follow it at all. I always get scared when they're one game below .500 but so far they've done their job and lost every time that happens

Some absolutely bananas news from training camp: Teddy Bridgewater is there and he got his picture taken! He's even wearing the jersey! Let's talk for another 8 months about who's better: 1. A QB who isn't hurt, or 2. a QB who's still who hurt to play and still may never be 100%

According to the Brewers' commentators, the Brewers hadn't won a series against them since 2012. I knew we didn't have the best outcomes against St. Louis, but I didn't realize it was that bad.

That's actually crazy to me but now that you say it I guess I haven't felt much animosity toward the Brewers these last several years. Obviously the Cardinals have been the better team since 2012 but it's still weird considering how many series that is. But I guess it does feel like we always win against the Brewers though

I think it's because it's not as difficult to just pay or trade straight up for the guy you want. And NFL teams don't really value prospects so those trade chips don't exist.

I don't know much about football, but I only remember trades happening around draft time. You'd think there'd be trades all of the time with 53-man rosters plus practice squads, but non-guaranteed contracts must mess that up.

They made another season of that dreadful Wet Hot Summer Camp show. What an awful show. It's like that horrible movie Hot Rod with Andy Sandberg.

Crin is Finnish, so I'm guessing it has a name in the Finnish language that has the English equivalent of "pharmacy road"

So I turned on my woefully underused 3DS for the first time in like 8 months and was browsing the eShop. I think I wanna try out one of the original Pokemon games. Which one should I choose between RBY? My understanding is it doesn't matter too much, but isn't Yellow a special edition or something?

Go with Red or Blue. They're the same except for each one has some exclusive Pokemon. I played Blue but it doesn't matter. Yellow is indeed a special version where Pikachu follows you around instead of you getting to pick a starter Pokemon and it has a bunch of references to the anime. It's fun, especially if you watched the show as a kid, but it's not the version to play as your first Pokemon game.

The eShop in general seems to have a lot more NES and SNES games than the Wii U one. I thought pretty much all those that made it on to 3DS was also on Wii U, but I'll have to be careful to check between the two shops. And the prospect of getting a SNES Classic further complicates things as it has several items from my wish list. Of course it would be much easier if Nintendo would just GIVE US SWITCH VC

I like yellow because you end up with all three starters in it.

Unless you have a "New" 3DS you actually can't play SNES games on your 3DS. I would absolutely have bought some of those for my regular 3DS but Nintendo won't let me.

I kinda want a New 3DS so I can get those but then I remember I don't really play games anymore and it's probably a waste of money.

It would definitely be cool to play like ALttP and whatever else they have on a handheld. We really do need VC on Switch already.

I would even pay $80 for a Switch cart with all the SNES classic games on it. Hell honestly id probably pay more than that

I have a New 3DS, so I can get the SNES games for it, but I'd probably choose Wii U first if it's available. Portable is nice sometimes, but I still prefer sitting in front of a big TV. If only Nintendo had some kind of console to eliminate this dilemma
