Either the bitter resenment of the right or the orgasmic jubilation of the left.

People are acting like McCain's vote was "the deciding vote" but EVERY vote was the deciding vote. A tie would have been a win for Trump via Pence.

If either of the ladies had voted yes, McCain's vote would have mattered about as much as a Youtube comment.

Susan Collins from Maine and Lisa Murkowski from Alaska.

Trump's administration was atually threatening Alaska and Collins has already gotten flack for openly critizing Trump for being irresponisble. But despite being GOP and the hostility they are getting from their workmates they also voted no.

Where's there fanfare? Why are people acting like McCain was a cowboy walking into a bar and shooting it up? It was more like West Side Story where two gangs danced at each other. IT took 50 other men and women alongside McCain to shoot the thing down.

They deserve your, attention. love and or hate just as much as he does.

Also does anyone else find it interesting that the Republicans were shocked by McCain's vote yet Sanders clearly knew what he was going to do? Collusion perhaps?

It's because McCain's vote was unexpected. They welcomed him as a hero because they thought he would vote their way

Actually the deciding vote was Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii). Without him, the bill would have passed.

Every vote was the deciding vote. They won by 1 vote

Stop saying this.

Because Collins and Murkowski were against it for most of the votes that happened over the last few weeks.

McCain made a spectacle out of his voting. He said he was planning to vote but refused to tell people how he was going to vote, and was all "you'll have to wait and see." and literally made everyone else vote before him so that he was the last one to vote. The result of this was a 49-50 Split and Mike Pence was literally already on his way to deliver the tie-breaking vote that never happened.

So the short answer is yeah, McCain pretty much did put on a cowboy hat and walked into a bar and shot it up in terms of showmanship. That's why everyone is talking about it.
