Full title was meant to be ..."how far they make it in the playoffs (or if they make it)" Chiefs: 12-4 record, wild card spot. Lose to Patriots (again) in the divisional round (again). I want to say we'll win the west again, but Oakland's schedule is a fucking joke this year. I could see them going 14-2, with their only Ls being week 11 vs NE and week 15 vs DAL. And it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they squeak a win from one of those two, since they're both home games. And I'd like to say the Chiefs will sweep them again, but I don't want to be too "homer-ish" on this. 11-5 or 12-4 and will win the NFC North again. Will choke in the NFC Championship in overtime in a shootout when the defense shits the bed as always. If you all know the team's history, then you know that we're likely to go straight into mediocrity after a positive season. And considering what happened to us in the postseason well...let's just say I don't have any expectations other than a top draft pick. This is going to be a really big season hangover. 5-7 at best. 9-7 seems about right, just missing the playoffs. Even though Carson has more weapons to work with on offense, I'm still not sold on Alshon because he could give up at any moment and then we're back to a bum WR corps that can't catch. At least with Smith there's a semblance of a deep threat but who knows how much he can add at this point. The running game is decent but a 34 year old back on his last legs and the shell of Blount don't leave me hoping for more than 150 rushing yards per game. The defense is ramped up on the front 7 but the cornerbacks are a massive weakness that can be easily exploited by quarterbacks that get rid of the ball fast. I think he'll be enough to keep at least one of Rawls and Prosise alive and most importantly they will do enough for them to have legitimate play-action again. I agree though Graham is going to tee off on some people having actually had an offseason with Russell this time around.
