I watch a lot of these Public Freakout videos and Angry Customers and I'm so fucking sick of the public. People sit there and do all kinds of horrible things like calling people racist names, trashing their store, yelling and yelling at fucking nothing. And they do it because you can't do shit about it.

Start sticking up for yourselves and fight back

But it's not just words. That stand in front of you, scream in your face, bang shit on the counters, call you horrible things. They disrupt your actual life. In public, at work. Trying to get to other customers or trying to walk down the street or waiting at the airport. If you're on a bus you have nowhere to go. If you're at work, you have nowhere to go.

I have an explosive temper. I get really angry if, say I get cut off in traffic, or someone dicks around in a line holding everyone up.

I still don't think you should be able to just go up and slug someone. That shit's dumb.

I played hockey for most of my life between the ages of 7 and 20. A sport where it's legal to dust other dudes. Randomly attacking someone in public is still wrong no matter what bullshit there pulling. Unless they're hurting someone else, mind your own business.

On a moral level, you are correct. It's just humans are not born with those passive traits, but have to use them because of the laws. Those laws are good, very good, they protect weaker people from getting randomly beaten. They protect everyone.

But those sort of laws have only been in place for a very short time in our history. You used to have to stick up for yourself or you would become a victim yourself. This of course lead to more violence, but minor violence.

You see, since we can't stick up for ourselves anymore and have to just sit and take it, it does terrible things to the mind. Yes, people are no longer getting beat up for dumb shit they did, but because these people that have to be passive have anger build and build until they end up killing everyone in sight with a gun. And this leads to less violence, but worse violence.

It isn't really in our nature to stand there and take shit and it leads to worse violence then just handling it with a minor fight.
