It didn't look like anything special. I'd have to try the food but I ain't spending $400+ just to try it.

Eh? With a title like that, I'm expecting jetpacks and you bore me with a relatively idiot-proof oven and overpriced food delivery subscription? You need to get out more.

I was expecting something like that pizza oven thingy from Back to the Future 2. Meaning, I thought you were going to like put a pill in the tray, plop it in the thing then it gets normal size while cooking.

Better than eating Taco Bell but useless for someone who knows how to cook and too expensive for overpriced prepared toaster oven food.

But in all honesty, there's a crap ton of people who don't know how or just don't want to cook who would buy these meals. I can get quite a lot of salmon for the price those meals were.

While I do think it's too expensive, I actually wouldn't mind having one cause sometimes I want a nice tasting meal but I don't want to cook. That is of course, if the food tastes good XD

Pretty much

i mean, though, that salmon would cost over $10 by itself at a store

so

this is still worthless. you can already do this shit with a regular oven. cooking isn't hard. if you want to be a wuss about it, you literally just follow easy ass directions.

They can, but often aren't: http://www.delmarvanow.com/story/opinion/columnists/2016/09/06/plastic-trash-clogging-oceans/89787694/

the kind of person who is prone to buy expensive, ultra convenient meals rather than spending a little bit of time to cook their own cheaply is more often the kind of person to not bother recycling too.

Because you can scan your meal's barcode to tell it how to set the temperature and timer, rather than having to do so manually. How much of a plebian do you have to be to not see the value in not having to set your toaster oven manually?

It's not exactly a large filet, by the look of it. If you're somewhere where fish is really expensive, maybe, but I definitely wouldn't be paying $10 CDN for that much salmon, let alone 10 USD.

like, for a frozen salmon filet? it'll probably be less overall, but a fresh one?

i've never seen one for less than $10 for a non-frozen one

it isn't the largest cut i've seen, but it is rather thick.
