I had thought about videogame character middle names, I like "Aran" taken from Samus Aran. I also thought most Fire Emblem characters have normal, safe names.

As someone who was bullied a ton, I'd never forgive myself to name a future child something embarrassing.

I am liking to "JASON" (can't ever unhear Heavy Rain moments).

Just thought of another one, John.

It can stand and represent both Snake (Metal Gear) and John Marston (Red Dead Redemption). See i prefer the names that have meaning to the parents but doesn't have to insult the child. And the best part is when he grows up you can tell them the true name videogame themed origin.

I have thought about naming a future kid after a Zelda character but I'd probably just make it a middle name at most

I named my first son Tidus after Final Fantasy X (we pronounce it Titus, not Teedus), and I named one of my twin boys that we just had Caius after the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy.

Zelda is actually a pretty cool name, as is Cortana. It's just the comparisons that are going to be a problem. It's like if there was a girl in school named Oprah or something.

Ever hear of Zelda Fitzgerald? Or did you know Zelda was in the top 1000 baby names from the 1900's to 1940's...

It's not just a game characters name...

Here is the conundrum. While the wife won't allow daughter #2 to be named "Zelda II" I am trying to get her to agree on Ripley.

We know its Ellen's last name in Alien franchise, we know it's not Ridley from Metroid. It's just a cool name.

So what do you think is Ripley a good name for a daughter?

(that's what many think not me) You know that, right? Just because twitch happened and you see a bunch of goobers looking confident doesn't mean the cringe isn't happening.

And alike someone else said, have some respect for their individuality. They might grow up to hate Zelda. Maybe they agreed with Gannon. Did you ever think of that? Maybe they want to be evil.
