Is avoiding that not why you used the word 'fake' here? If you truly did not care how potential racism (fake or otherwise) might be received and truly chose to engage in this behavior without respect to your recipient, could you really call it 'fake?'

Rephrased, people don't have access to your internal ironic monologue, they only experience the results of the things you do and say. That means the only people experiencing the 'fakeness' of your racism is you. The rest of us just get the unapologetic racism.
