Went to this place I have gone to before, and they had a new lunch special. It said 7.99 and you get salad + soup lunch special.
So I ask the waitress who showed me to my table about it, and pointed out it was only 50 cents more then just the meatball sandwich, and she said...yep thats right!! Then anotherwaitress came and took my order, and again, I pointed out the lunch special and stated that it was only 50 cents more then just getting the meatball sandwich. I was amazed, but said I might as well get the soup and salad for 50 cents more. So my food comes, the soup and sald first, and almost right away the sandwich. It's on a tiny plate (a mini plate), and all of it looks like it's meant to be one meal. I finish my food (there was no much so it was fast) and go to pay, and they tried to charge me 7.99 MORE for the soup and salad lol. I was like, no way, I asked 3 times (Didn't even mention the first girl), found my waitress and she said, oh sorry it was a miscommunication). I repeated what I had said to her exactly and she agreed to remove the charge. There is no way she didn't know what I was asking or what I thought about the lunch special. I guess she just figured I wouldn't care and would just pay 2x as much for my lunch. Well, true I guess, I just kinda figure the waitress made me think I would get the soup/salad lunch special WITH the sandwich (I mean I was very specific), then she switched it to being seperate when I paid.
But yeah, I guess it's technically not. I don't htink I will, second time in a row I went there and the food was blah. The woman behind the till charged me full price for them. I corrected her and pointed out they are on offer for the day(most folk had curries so she should have know this). She then proceeded to fix the order and still ended up trying to charge me more. I told her the total was wrong yet again and she questioned my claim giving a very detailed explanation. I got bored at this point so I whipped out my phone, added it up and shown her how much it was as she clearly couldn't math.
