But stories were if you want, instead of saving the world/your friends you have the option to just leave because shit got too real. Not really "going home" but when you get to the final boss he does the whole "Can't you see I need to take over the world to save it!" speech and you have the option of just going "Fair enough" and letting him take over. Even he is surprised if you do. If you exceed that time limit, the game doesn't notify you that it is now unwinnable, but you can keep playing.
