I used to be chubby in my early teens but then made a conscious effort to be more active, started playing sports and exercising, etc... Now as an adult in my late 20s, I still exercise regularly, go to the gym, etc...
But know what I get from people constantly? "Oh you must have thin genes in your family." (I don't, both my parents are heavy) "Oh you must have a fast metabolism. It'll catch up to you someday." Or my personal favorite, when I'm eating something like pizza or other delicious foods, "Oh I wish I could eat like that. You're lucky."

Horse shit, I'm not lucky. I'm active. It's really insulting when you work hard to stay in shape, only to have fat people go on about how effortless it must be for you. Anyone else run into this kinda nonsense?

The only people that think being thin/in shape is just genetic luck are lazy fat people, so who cares? I have a coworker that marvels at how thin I am despite how much I eat, and he never puts two and two together with how much I run.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Yep I work really hard and I don't think people understand what goes into maintaining a healthy body, especially into your 30s.

I really don't care what they think tho. I do it for myself mostly anyway

Yeah it's pretty stupid. Like the reason I got the body I wanted was because I worked hard at it, such as changing my lifestyle, eating habits, doing daily excercises, etc. Did it take awhile for me to get where I was at? Yes absolutely, but it does help to have friends going through the same weight loss training as you as well.

More often I see skinny people bragging/complaining about how much they can eat and not gain weight.
