Internet 150 is $105 (thats what I got, minus the $4 modem rental)
Internet 75 is $80
Internet 15 is $70

Their cheapest plan really is $70 for 10% of what I currently have

I have Telus and I'm happier with it than I was with Shaw. No slowdown at peak times, etc... I think ours isn't a lot cheaper than that, it's probably around $90, but I don't really pay a lot of attention because I have no bandwidth cap. I can get 50-60mbps/20mbps DL/UL wirelessly on my Xbox One while multiple devices are streaming Netflix and using the internet (and/or multiple consoles playing online). It's apparently getting faster once they perform infrastructure upgrades. Maybe give them a call if they're in your area?

literally yesterday they phoned me to tell me they were upgrading my plan and that it would have a reduced rate.

Yeah that's great! I actually sort of think that price is reasonable. Could be a little cheaper of course. But I personally could never justify more than like 75mbps for my needs. Maybe in the future but for now I only need about 50

AT&T has been giving us fucking 5 Mbps lately when we're paying for 15 and they had the nerve to send us a letter saying our rate is gonna go up next month because our "promotional period expired--" are you kidding me? Give us the rate we actually pay for, then we'll talk. Bout to just switch ISPs.

Are you Canadian? If so I use start.ca.$50 for unlimited Internet. Never had any problems with it either. Might be worth checking out.
