Trying to put 15 lbs back on. It's surprising how difficult it is to eat 3000 calories+ a day.

Thank goodness for weight gainer shakes. Those can range from 800-1000 calories per shake.

Never thought I'd be counting calories tbh.

I found full fat milk was my best friend when trying to put on weight. The biggest issue I found was simply trying to get in enough calories in a day, it's easy to think you've had a lot and then realise you're still 1000 calories short.

If anything I would think this counterintuitive. Fat makes you full faster. It's why peanut butter is such a great weight loss food.


Fat makes you full but liquid is extremely easy to ingest copious amounts of. It's the same reasoning why people recommend downing raw eggs, even though they don't allow as much bio-available protein compared to cooked eggs.

3000 calories? That's not enough. I have CF as some know. So I need a bit more. But my baseline is probably 3500. I eat 5000-6000 calories a day. I've put on 24 pounds since June first.

So if I can put weight on with CF it should be easy if you're a normal cat to do it.

I have 2 1500 shakes. Two whey protein. Bowl of pasta and 7 oz steak. 6 inch or 12 inch sub. Depends how hungry I am. Then I fill the rest in with some snacks. Maybe a protein bar or some Oreos.

I wanna drink two shakes a day, but at that rate, I'll be spending $100 a month in just that. I could do more pasta, that's pretty cheap.

I feel your pain. I take Depakote to suppress my seizures and my neurologist says it's known to cause an increase in appetite and weight gain...I lost 6 pounds since my last visit :<

I eat a lot of unhealthy stuff loaded with calories too since I live near a Zippy's restaurant. Teri burgers, chili burritos, onion rings, chili cheese fries, chicken katsu, etc. And when I get home I'm always snacking, although that stuff is less fatty. Stuff like popcorn, peanuts, and cereal. But I'm snacking at weird hours; usually around 3 or 4 in the morning, right before I go to bed.

Oh yeah and sometimes on my days off when I don't feel like going out I just eat those Marie Callender's microwave things. I can eat the family size dishes by myself for a meal lol. This one is my favorite :3
