Hat Yai, Thailand. Technically the region is still in a state of war but it's mostly in the 3 provinces south of us but some attacks have happened here over the years. Ethnic Malay Muslims want to separate from Thailand and go back to Malaysia. The insurgents are trained in northern Malaysia then snuck across the border to fight.

CFB Chilliwack. They shut down a lot of the base and turned the garrison housing into an upscale neighbourhood. They also got a community college to build an academic and trades campus on the old base lands.

The department of Defense is still here, but is really small compared to what it once was.

Did they sell the land or do they still own it?

Suburb of Toronto. I've forgotten much of Canadian history. I know Toronto has seen conflict, but I don't know if my area specifically was part of it.

I've seen most of it. The Freedom Trail is a tour in Boston that brings you to a ton of historic sites. Every kid near Boston takes it during a field trip. I have worked in Concord and Gloucester is a beach town so I have seen those as well. I love history but Revolutionary War, while interesting, isn't the period in which I am most interested. I prefer the 16th Century Americas (particularly the Carribean), 19th Century (Civil War), and the 1940's (WWII).
