I'm interested in the series. My roommate my freshman year of college played MH3 on his 2ds like all the time and I was always intrigued, but never bought it for myself.

MH4U is probably better imo. It's just paced better, and there's a better payoff later when the difficulty gets pretty ridiculous. The feeling of accomplishment when you git gud is ridiculous in MH4U. MHG is a bit less so cuz there's a lower ceiling

3U is a bit dull though, and underwater fighting is... not the most fun thing. It is tougher because literally everything underwater outspeeds and outmanuevers you in every way, though the giant guy's battle underwater (I forget his name, the one that you can make the Helios set off of) is actually really fun.
I'd say 4U is a good point just because almost every MH afterwards is probably gonna stem off of it, whereas I don't really see underwater battle returning --- "Iwata was awesome" - Mr. Nintendo dinglebutt ... Copied to Clipboard!
