Any English/grammar smarties know why this is? Words like be-lovd/be-luh-ved are different because one is an adjective and one's a noun, but this one's an adjective in both ways. Is it just because the first sentence is phrased in an older-sounding way, so we go with the fancy pronunciation of cursed? That was my guess, but hmm yes, sehr interessant.

yes to both, not because of "upon" but because from what i know of grammar, it just makes more sense to read it as "kur-sid" rather than "kurst" in the way the sentences are formed,
now, if you write: "That throne is cursed" i read it as "kurst" --- Sober from Alcohol since August 4th 2017 ... Copied to Clipboard!
