Why do people keep saying this. There are no extra breaks. There are no "only for smoker" breaks. They just take them and either management doesn't care or you don't report it. Go ahead and take an extra break if you're gonna cry about it lol

And no I don't smoke. I just keep seeing "extra breaks!"...they don't get special extra breaks.

This is me, sadly. :/ I hardly eat sometimes before leaving the house and since I am chubby, my supervisor either says this or hands me candy and says "Be a good boy and you'll get the rest on the next break." *Angry face*

Worked at a place where literally EVERYONE but me and one other dude smoked. Constantly taking 5 minute breaks after 45 mins or so. Me and my buddy got tired of it and would go take fresh air breaks. Every time the manager would come out and yell at us, we'd bitch, she didn't care.

So one day he bought those fake cigarettes and we went out with those. She same out, berated us and we pretty much told her tough shit, unless she wants to change the rules, we're taking a quick 5 minute break every now and then. She finally gave up on giving us shit for it.

Ya eating fish is gonna start causing cancer if it hasn't already so why should we care?

They don't "get extra breaks". They "take extra breaks and nobody reports them." It's not like the company is rewarding them, they're just abusing the lack of oversight and hoping nobody catches or reports them.

That's my thought as well.

I'm a smoker and have never worked for a company where you got any more breaks than CA law of two 10's and a 30.

These people must be working for some terrible companies.
