I would argue that, since we are saying "Big stupid Corbin" in the first place, something has not been done right and his vicious persona is not as vicious as it should be. Getting rolled up and distracted when you cash in your once-in-a-lifetime MITB briefcase really emphasizes the "stupid Corbin" part, and that's not good no matter if you're a WWE babyface or a WWE heel or any wrestler at all.

man, people like Strowman cause the guy is literally a physical monster and he's so so good at delivering simple but effective promos.

Corbin could probably technically wrestle better than Strowman but that makes no difference. Look at the physical difference between Corbin and Strowman. There's no comparision. Look at how over Strowman is compared to the reaction Corbin gets. No comparison. Listen to the mic work between the two. Strowman is way more interesting, even if what he's saying is much simpler and much more direct. He's just more charismatic. And despite Corbin's likely better ring skill, Strowman's matches are usually more interesting because, as Strife said, he tosses things through the air.

Until Strowman started chucking people like Ellsworth around like a ragdoll, he was where Corbin was: despised for being a big guy. However, instead of giving him ambulances to throw around, Corbin put Ambrose under a forklift. No less a contrived spot, but almost 100% less effective.

Braun did pick up a lot when he left the Wyatts. Like, he learned fuck all it seemed with the Wyatts because he just came in a tag match, did his spots, then called it a day. When he was working solo on Raw, he was forced into singles matches and routinely worked with guys like Sami Zayn, and Sami is a nice enough of a dude to probably meticulously explain everything to Braun and actually help him learn this wrestling thing.

I think the difference between Braun and Corbin is that Braun doesn't need to do nearly as much. But he seems to get how to work a crowd much better. Meanwhile, Corbin knows how to fill time with trash talk, but he doesn't get how to actually work a crowd without just yelling at them. That, and Corbin's moveset is absolutely pitiful and bad. I think I mentioned that back during one of his more recent awful matches. But that actually seems like the case for like, every home grown guy from the Performance Center now. Absolutely no moveset. I don't get that.

I remember Owens saying this and that people think he's a dick as a result but that he's actually just really passionate and assumes that everyone is just as passionate as he is.

Rev pro was solid as usual.

Very good up and down the card, the limited guys knew what they had to do. Like bully Ray or liger.

They built up marty vs rey well because the match had great heat. However on the whole the show did lack starpower. With only a few guys like marty, Zack and Dalton coming across as modern stars and not guys using nostalgia.

Tomorrow I expect the roh show to have better main event and the KUSHIDA match should be great, but it also has a lot more filler.

So now that it's been awhile and they keep selling out (and outselling WWE stuff there), what do we make of the Hot Topic/Bullet Club success story?

Is this a legitimate chip in WWE's well-worn North America armor, or just a blip on the radar that won't be built upon?

Depends on if the bullet club and the elite split.

If cody becomes the bc leader that stable is vulnerable because cody would jump straight to wwe in a heartbeat and the bc would only have marty left that's leader material.

Villain club shirts were very popular yesterday, but it's marty in england.

I do think it makes it hard for WWE to sign the elite guys using stars in their eyes tactics though.

It's one thing getting devitt and steen to become Balor and Owens at a discount, but omega and the bucks would be leaving a larger figure on the table.

Those shirts have legs from what I hear right? Like they keep selling like hotcakes and for a good long time now?
