1-6 specifically
The Reader reviews on the individual game pages read like they were written by eight year olds and aren't exactly helpful. For reference: 7 was pretty boring. Too slow, and permanent loss of trained members plus late adds made it even worse. 8 is 10/10 9 was okay, silent party was stupid (especially after 8) but the gameplay was good enough --- Difference in men & women: http://i.imgur.com/kHCwK2p.jpg Broncos l Raptors l Dodgers l Maple Leafs ... I've only ever played Dragon Quest 1 on NES and it is literally Grind: The Game. You spend 80% grinding EXP and gold so you can get better gear and move to another grind spot and 10% of the time actually doing stuff like getting treasure or clearing dungeons.

Yes.
5 is basically the FF6 of Dragon Quest. Although 3 and 8 are the biggest sources of the public's perception of DQ. --- PSN: kazukifafner ... Copied to Clipboard!

1 and 2 are pretty bad, but its a matter of them aging poorly rather than being bad games.
You probably wouldn't like 3, since its similar to 9 with a blank slate party who never speaks. The GBC version was pretty good tho. Its well balanced and ties together the Alfgard trilogy (the first three games) nicely. 4-6 are all VERY good. Probably want to play the DS versions of them for the updated graphics and translations. Also, the NES version of 4 was extremely difficult because you could only directly control your main character. The rest of your party was AI controlled, with you being able to pick a pattern of behavior at best. The DS version removed that, making it much easier. --- If her hips don't break, you didn't "carry" hard enough" -SpunkySix http://steamcommunity.com/id/bolt_thundara/wishlist ...
