It's okay, but I'm not sure I'm fully understanding the whole "best game ever made" thing. So far, I'm pretty deep into the first Palace, close to the treasure.

I like the life sims parts well enough, and I'm sure it'll just keep getting bigger on that side of things.

I'm not sure I like the combat though. The strategy seems to be to make sure you stun and destroy all the bad guys in the very first round, or else they fuck you up real quick, and you end up spending more SP--or valuable healing items--healing yourself up. Things can get out of hand real quick if you don't fuck up the enemies in round 1. I'm not sure if I really like that.

Oh and also I heard from a bunch of different people that they don't like anime usually, but this game was alright despite that. I dunno what they're talking about, the story to this game is about an anime as they come. I mean it's straight up over the top tropey anime at every point. Not that I hate that or anything, just find it weird. If you don't like anime, it seems like you would hate this game with a passion.

Overall I'm still enjoying it, but I guess it just hasn't caught me like I keep hearing it did other people. Like, I don't feel itching to play it. I'm not sitting at work thinking about it wishing I could play it like I would do for a game I'm in love with.

The game is greater than the sum of its parts. It's not as good or groundbreaking as P3 or P4 were, but everything is honed to a fine point and polished to the nth degree. If they do make a re-mastered version of this, they could seriously make do with fleshing out some parts of the game that really drag.

That's not really the case. It just feels like that because you're in the first palace
