I just beat the first zone and its awesome! The animation is so smooth for everything, the movement is fluid, blue sphere is fun, that ufo special stage with Saturn 3d graphics is super fun, and the game overall is just gorgeous. Christian Whitehead did a fantastic job on this >_>

what do the blue sphere stages give you? I beat one and got some sort of silver emblem, then i got a perfect on the next one and got like a bronze or gold emblem? What are those...

no clue. I should try to get all the rings too

If you go in the Extras menu, you can see a grid with all the coins in it. I guess you unlock bonus stuff if you get enough coins? >_>

The ONE reservation I have is with the level design. I hear that the dev is a huge fan of Sonic CD, which imo has atrocious level design. I'm hoping that the design philosophy sticks closer to S3&K than Sonic CD...

The guy was the one who did the remake for Sonic 1, 2, and CD. So far the level design is fine >_>

the level design is fine. It does branch out in several directions though so it'll take multiple play throughs to see it all...

Special abilities and modes I believe. When I had stopped playing for the morning, I had unlocked a bunch of stuff like sonic's peel out from sonic cd, sonic's insta-shield ability from sonic 3, time attack mode, and some other stuff that I forgot since I was drowsy as hell when I stopped.

its on the same level as S3&K so far. Imagine Sega actually made a Sonic 4 in 1996 instead of Sonic 3D Blast...

The thrust of the game's development was to make a 2D Sonic game that might have been available for the Sega Saturn. Seems like it fills that niche.

Protip: For Stardust Speedway's boss, as soon as the silver sonic comes out and rolls into a ball to charge at you, collide with it in ball form as it's rolling towards you and you'll likely hit metal sonic with it

It makes that boss infinitely easier to do that >_> It took me forever to figure that trick out

Just beat it without the emeralds. Only dissapointment was how few sonic 1 remixes there were. I know some of the gimmicks were in stages, but no Starlight Zone? No Spring Yard? Come on man

Also that last stage was way to freaking long. Lol.

Overall it was great though. Gotta get those emeralds.

I'm only at Oil Ocean so far and all the zones are great, but the only one I didn't like was Press Garden Zone. It felt long and I constantly got lost, plus the megaman disappearing blocks were annoying as f >_>

Just beat it. That last zone is so fucking long tho. I loved it. I'm going to try for all the emeralds now and see if I can get the better ending.
