I don't see how people are so offended by a piece of rock... Who cares? Did the person that the statue is representing personally do something to you? No. Hell, the American flag was flown on ships bringing slaves to America. Should be tear down every flag? I think people get "offended" by anything today and that it's ridiculous. Yes, racism is out there. Yes, horrible things happened in the past. Instead of channeling that anger into doing something that does nothing to help anyone, why not put that energy into bringing about positive change today for the millions of humans out there who have real problems (like lack of food, clean water, education)?

There is no public nor private record of MLK Jr condemning gay marriage. Not even on his phone when he was wiretapped. The only time he said anything about it was in an advice column he wrote for Ebony magazine, when he told a young boy (who feared he may be homosexual) that the situation wasn't uncommon but that it required careful attention.

Fair Next. Most of these monuments were made in the 50's & 60's in spiteful protest of the Civil Rights Movement. Not only are they Confederate monuments, they are symbolic middle fingers to equal rights for black people.
