More than likely. Maybe slightly overcosted if we compare it to Primordial Drake. But having Deadly Shot as a deathrattle makes it a bit crazy.

After playing a while.

I think Prince Keleseth is the worst designed card in the expansion. Like the other princes pretty much suck, but your chances of winning a match when you prince on two I want to say is possibly the highest variance of winning and losing for a deck type right now.

I mean, it's 9 mana. Stuff that expensive should be nuts if the goal of the deck is to survive that long to play it. Hearthstone's top end has been pretty bad for most of its run.

Of course the actual issue is when you Barnes one out, then Eternal Servitude it back. Reanimate effects are pretty strong in MTG, too.

I was Offered: Rogue/Shaman/Druid
I picked: Rogue

Haven't picked Rogue yet since I started tracking my KFT stats. Figured it'd be best to start collecting data on a class I'll probably be using a lot. I do have a quest for playing Shaman right now but honestly I'm not into picking a class where I know I'll likely do poorly just to maybe complete a quest... if I can even win any games.

Draft: Was offered a Legendary first pick. Nice! I picked Medivh over Patches and Deathwing Dragonlord. I drafted a really weird curve with almost no four drops. Just wasn't really offered any at times when I could realistically pick them. That being said I got really high card quality across the board and tons of value cards. Realistically this is the kind of deck where I can definitely win games if I'm able to survive the first four or five turns without losing too much tempo. We'll see how it goes.

1st Match: Vs Priest. I went Second. Pretty solid opening hand. I don't have a lot of early game but I did draw some of my better cards for it. Uhh... My opponent instantly conceded without playing any cards. Win.

2nd Match: Vs Druid. I went First. Worse but still 'okay' opening hand. Stonehill Defender is something I'll often be hoping I get in my opener so I can stall the early game and I did get him here. Got into a bad position where I really had no better options than to use my removal on a mid sized minion early on. Really wish I could have saved it for later. I managed to outvalue him in the mid game to the point where he just straight up conceded. Man, playing control rogue in arena feels awesome. It's hard to get lucky enough to draft the high quality cards you need but when it happens it's really fun. Win.

Done for now. I just wanted to get a nice run started tonight. I'll try and finish this one up tomorrow.

Just played someone who Barnes'd into Lich King, and then rezzed him on the next turn. I played double Doomsayer, figuring one of them would survive. Nope, Shadow Word Horror. In his deck naturally. That one survived three or four turns. He then used the card to make a 5/5 Obsidian Statue, rezzed that, and then played a 5/5 Lich King with the next copy. Then he played the card that removes the top five cards from your deck and it hit nothing but spells, so I finally catch a break. A break followed up by the 4/8 statue from Free From Amber. Then yet another Lich King, though I didn't catch where this one came from because I was in holy shit, really, another one mode.

And then, with twice my life, twice as many cards in hand, somehow further away from fatigue from me, he conceded. I'm not entirely sure why.

I mean, that's for all ranks, and past 30 days includes a lot of Un'Goro. Personally, I'm in the R5->R1 range, and I haven't seen a single one of 'em.

Trying to play a modified handlocky deck, apparently I don't own any Faceless Shamblers(Or a second Sunfury for that matter). Can't see myself using the last of my dust to craft the Shamblers, either, so I'll have to do without. Honestly, I just wanted to make a deck to use Guldan in, though I'm 2-2 so far and have yet to draw the bastard even though I've drawn into the single digits every game. Non-dust-intensive suggestions?

Since I haven't been playing the past few months, I decided to dust some Legendaries I never use, like Moroes and both Hoggers.

Went in to do my one Brawl game, and pulled..... Hogger. Well, that was silly.

Bought some packs and made Rogue. Not really sure how they win now since it's been a while since I've played as one. I have auctioneer and a lot of cheap spells, giants, voss, corpse flower, etc. Questing too but thinking about taking them out for something else maybe? I don't know. Made the Death Knight too. I almost feel like the deck is like "Not quite miracle rogue"

Game 3: Vs Mage. I went Second. Some good cards in my opening hand. I coined Perdition's Blade to seize tempo, then tried to get a Fledgling to stick on turn 3. It did not stick but I still came out ahead on the board. I got dat Ethereal Peddler value with two ticks on cards I had pilfered. Feels good. At this point I had a huge card advantage and had control of the board. He was able to fight back with Blizzard but didn't develop anything in the process. I drew Medivh on curve at this point and played him on an empty board on turn 8 (actually I still had one frozen guy so not even empty)! At this point he plays a failed MC Tech that takes the worst possible result and I honestly feel bad for the guy. Actually, he did spam "AMAZING" emote the entire game so I kinda feel less bad for him when I think about that. Guy probably deserved to get steamrolled. Win.

Game 4: Vs Warrior. I went First. Fairly bad opening hand. Oh god please don't let my first loss be to Warrior. I dropped a pretty out of control Fledgeling on turn 3 but he had coin Fool's Bane to help respond to it. He took a lot of damage but didn't lose the board. Guy actually gained HUGE tempo and board advantage in the midgame and then... threw it away by trump trading like crazy. He basically sacrificed his entire board for no reason. Wow. He then proceeded to make several additional misplays and insanely stupid trump trades the likes of which I have never seen... literally throwing away his entire board multiple times when he could have set up two turn lethals. But was then awarded Deathwing off of a Bone Drake so it didn't matter and he just won anyway. First bullshit RNG loss of the run. Sad times. Really, really, really frustrating to lose against such low tier players and it's always one of the worst feelings you can experience in Hearthstone. Loss.

Game 5: Vs Druid. I went Second. He played Elise The Trailblazer really early on so I knew I needed to push tempo if I wanted to have any chance of winning. He drew the pack almost immediately (literally turn 5 elise, turn 7 pack), but I had already set up a two turn lethal by the time he drew it. And this is why you do not trump trade. Apparently there were no Un'Goro cards he could play on turn 8 that would gift him the game. Win.

Game 6: Vs Druid. I went First. Decent opening hand, at least drawing into my low cost cards early. Even if they were the low quality ones it's better than top decking this garbage later. And, welp, he got some insane Voodoo Doctor value and seized the board pretty handily. Oh well. I did the best I could to try and hold him at bay but he had a pretty huge card advantage somehow. A very fast game where I was on the ropes from start to finish and was just absolutely crushed by turn 9. Loss.

Game 7: Vs Mage. I went Second. My opening hand was about as bad as it could possibly be. I was clever enough to give him two Silithid Swarmers off of Frozen Clone at least. LOL. Annddd he has Lich King. Cool. Not only an insane arena card that generates infinite value but this also means there's a chance he could pull Frostmourne and actually use the Silithid Swarmers. He did not pull Frostmourne at least, but he did get the one that pulls minions from his deck and puts them onto the field. All draws were minions, of course, nothing milled. And of course he has pyroblast. Second completely bullshit RNG loss of the run. Loss.

This deck deserved far better than 4-3. Wow. I really have no words for how insanely bad those last few games were. First of all how in the living fuck did a Mage with that deck get to 4-2 in the first place.

I don't think you really need a divine shield heavy deck to run him. He's a decent body to put all your buffs on

How about if obsidian statue did a shadow word pain with a random target instead of a deadly shot? I wouldn't despise it as much then but it would still be useful.

Or even just "destroy a random enemy minion with less attack than this minion"

You can safely dust golden cards because they don't count toward the pack opening rules! Dust him quick before you open a non-golden Nat Pagle!

That's not how I read it.

Once you own either the golden or non-golden version of a Legendary card, you won’t get a duplicate of it until you own all the Legendary cards from that set.

That's not how I read it.

Once you own either the golden or non-golden version of a Legendary card, you won’t get a duplicate of it until you own all the Legendary cards from that set.

re: Legendaries: I've seen a lot of information saying that dusting a legendary you own opens you up to getting it again. That said, dusting the Nat Pagle just gives you the legendary you want, so there's no real downside here -- if you open Nat again, well. It would have been a different legendary, probably one you also didn't want.

I played against a Priest that got four Obsidian Statues and still won. As an Aggro deck

Granted, it was Evolve Shaman and the fourth one I was able to push through with double devolve (first one gave Lich King) and then Bloodlust

Obsidian Statue might not even crack the top 10 on most powerful cards this set

The fact that more powerful cards exist changes nothing. My point was never that it is the most powerful card.

It's troll level varies based on the type of deck you're using.

Like an aggro deck summons a ton of small minions. Not so bad when one dies. Big whoop.

But against a deck type with fewer, more important minions, obsidian statue #4 is stupid.

Played a couple games on lunch and I had one of the worst feeling losses in recent memory.

Playing against quest mage, deep into the game, and I didn't have the right numbers to put him at exactly 1. Had to leave him at 2.

He drew his last card, played the quest, and on his extra turn took 1 fatigue and killed me with 1 health. Would've been dead if I could have left him at 1.

At the end of the day, the answer to my woes is probably as simple as my style of play and my preferred class don't mesh and I'm just trying to force the issue, leading me to all these specific complaints that don't resonate with anyone else.

It's laughable at 2 attack; you'd just swarm over it.

I mean, if you want to kill the card, go nuts. But a nine-mana anti-aggro tool should probably put the aggro player on his back foot.
