And that's a fair point considering OS is a priest minion and not a neutral minion.

Not talking about OS specifically here, but in general I don't think that way we compared Lich King vs Obsidian Statue with nothing else on board is a fair way to judge their relative values.

Like, for two neutral minions, sure. You can imagine them facing off on an empty board and judge them in a vacuum like that. But class minions are built into a set of spells, quite deliberately. Isn't it necessary to consider the class toolkit to properly evaluate them?

(Also if you're answering your opponent's lich king with a 9 mana turn, that means you were already behind in the game and thus the example makes OS look worse than it is since what you're actually saying is it isn't a great comeback card)

The biggest failure of Hearthstone is bad players getting bailed out by rng. If you're garbage, you should lose, not get handed wins by charity.

And this is a game that is made up of literally nothing BUT failures. There is a reason Mario Kart is complete shit. No one wants to deal with charity wins.

kripp is the best arena player. the very first time arena stats were released he was at the top. he's appeared on the top list multiple times. he's the only player who has gotten first place on the leaderboard twice.

there's an obvious correlation between skill and high performance, even if the better player doesn't ALWAYS win. the better player will win more games on average.

This fucking idiot just played his "give adjacent minions taunt" guy at the end of his row instead of the middle, kept an opening hand with 2 Mountain Giants, and still got to win because Hearthstone is a "skill based game".

This is proof of popular arena players being gifted good picks, not skill level. Hearthstone is specifically design to punish good skill levels through rng trash, and no one defending it is ever worth taking seriously on any subject. I literally just now saw someone keep the dumbest hand, make the dumbest musplay, and win anyway entirely off of rng. This is game is just Mario Kart: The Online Card Game. You are actually punished for being in the first place.

Yeah maybe if you played less skillfully or were more popular you would win more often

Please don't fall into the hole of misplacing blame. Yes, there is an element of RNG bullshit in Hearthstone. Yes, you can play better. Rather than settle for blaming RNG, try to get someone to watch your games and give advice.

A few people on here seem to play Hunter a lot, what should my last two cards be in this list? I feel like I want something on five but nothing was standing out to me, I'm not really feeling Corpse Widow. I also only have one Rat Pack and I'm not dropping 400 dust on a second one.

Bow seems like the obvious choice but I've got so many threes as it is. The deck could use more twos, but what? Is there enough beasts to run that Trogg card that buffs a beast in your hand? Can't remember the name of it, it's been so long since I've seen it played. Doesn't seem like there's enough weapons out there to run Ooze. Fiery Bat?

I threw Snipe in there at random just so I could finish the list and copy it. It's obviously not the choice.

i won 4 in a row at rank 10 with a version of this deck that was 3 cards different from this decklist (minus 3 things then stonehill + chillblade champions)

figured charge helped the buffs be useful + lifesteal is good so i'll see how it goes

corpse widow does seem like it could be good in that deck, yeah. you can play a kindly grandmother alongside it for free, you can cheat highmanes out cheaper if it sticks, and it can potentially have synergy with build-a-beasts that you create later on if you don't draw it early enough.

also worth noting that eaglehorn bow is really, really good. like so good that people run it in their decks even without secrets. considering you actually have two secrets in your deck it might be worth including the bow. weapons are great for helping to control the board early on and it's possible your deck might need that utility since it seems like you have a relatively top heavy end for a hunter deck.

overall looks pretty different from anything I play so it's hard for me to say anything for sure. but it's worth at least experimenting with different stuff and seeing what works.

{Hunter}

Game 6: Vs Hunter. I went First. Had a strong opening hand. Control Hunter doesn't really exist so I figure I'd try to just race him and/or control the board. He got absolutely nothing on the board by turn 4 and I had four minions still on the board. He then played Bloatboat which, uh, did kinda help. But still wasn't nearly enough. And this is why control Hunter does not exist. Win.

Game 7: Vs Druid. I went Second. I did not draw any 1 drops, he did. Really bad opener for me. Going to be hard to win this. Weirdly enough an Amani Berserker carried my early game. I just put him behind a taunt and punched my opponent for 5 damage. Twice. Then dropped Hyena and started trading in beasts. Then... holy shit... I got Emerald Reaver lethal again. For the second time in the same run. Oh man I love this deck. Win.

Game 8: Vs Paladin. I went First. Killer opener. Emerald Reaver into Hyena. Pretty much the dream for this deck, aside from maybe Fiery Bat instead. Sadly, he managed to stall me out with a glacial shard and it threw my tempo off big time. Then he played another one just a few turns later and really shut my board presence down. Shit. Things got really dicey and my only remaining play was to hide Daring Reporter behind a Volcanosaur taunt and just try to race him. My gamble... actually paid off. Holy shit I did not see myself winning this game. Win.

Game 9: Vs Mage. I went Second. Drew a lot of my early game early so I just didn't mulligan anything. Better now than later. Plus this gives me more options for what to do in the first few turns. Got absolutely fucked by Breath of Sindragosa, a bullshit common Mage card that this class did not need nor deserve. Seriously hate how out of control this class is in Arena. And of course he has Kazakus too. So glad that Ben Brode was looking out for the little guy this expansion. Firelands portal to the face. The most bullshit card that has ever been introduced to the arena card pool. Then he drops two gigantic taunts because on top of having card advantage, better card quality, the best odds of drafting a good deck, and my board not even existing apparently that just wasn't enough. Loss.

8-1 is as good a place to stop as any. I'll play some games later today when I get home.

Which game did you watch? Because I have tons of video evidence at this point of how bad the rng is in this game.

Ulti you need to accept that whilst you are surely a good player, you just might not be as good as you think you are / other players out there are good too.

I mean I totally get it, I am a sore loser too at times. Whilst I don't vent on here about it too much, my girlfriend for sure sees it. Hearthstone is the only game she wonders why I bother playing because she sees I get annoyed from time to time when I lose (I do with other games too but she doesn't see it, probably because I'm better at other games)

I think you'll want explosive trap.

Also, in 5 tundra rhino is great with your deathrattle tokens. Corpse Widow is fine too. But I think if all you do is swap in corpse widow for snipe you'll get out tempo'd a lot.

From personal experience Rat pack rarely felt good unless I buffed it in my hand. Hidden cache is ok.

yeah I always love the feeling of dropping a deathrattle minion with tundra rhino, running it into something, and then immediately running the deathrattles into something. you can try to set up a turn 5 rhino turn 6 highmane play but you're generally unlikely to get it off in constructed sadly. removal is too common and most players are smart enough to stop a turn 5 rhino.

Also you might even consider finding a place for infest in that deck.

Also also, I think the deck goes a little high on the curve without much way to really deal with later game minions. Bonemare is great but you'll end up using it to just have a 5/5 or 6/6 a lot of the time. Explosive shot or hunter's mark might be an option if that becomes an issue. I feel like you'll frequently end up getting close and then losing to a big taunt or a board clear.

You really don't need infest, if you have Deathstalker that's your late game tool... if you can draw it. (Tracking can be pretty good at that tbh!)

I also am unsure if Unleash is great in this meta. Wolf and Rat Pack too. Seems like that's just inviting Unleash the Plague (That's my new name for it)

I don't think of infest as a late game tool. but I agree it's not a high priority so I suggested other cards more strongly.

I run 2x tracking and love it, but I didn't mention it since it's my only 1 cost card so it's not competing with much early game.

About rexxar, it can be game winning for sure but there are plenty of games where I go a few turns at a time without using the hero power. And even with tracking it's tough to rely on that since it's not targeted like stitched tracker is with minions.

I don't know this for sure but the deck seems kind of diluted for stitched tracker to be worth it. The only cards you're really wanting to draw are your 6+ minions but they're a small portion of the deck. May not be worth the 2/2 on turn three.

Yeah, they are quite a bit easier. Honestly, Marrowgar was the toughest one so far because of the bone spikes.

Sindragosa took a couple tries just because I was unfamiliar with her mechanics.

Yeah, he's currently in six of my seven decks. New Elise except so far I like Elise a lot more. I don't expect it to last long since the random cards I've been getting have been worthless nearly every game so far. I'll die happy if I never see that remove five cards from your deck card in my hand ever again.

I think I got sindragosa on the first try, it was the 1st and 2nd bosses that got me with their swerves. Lol on the blood queen, I even ran murloc paladin to win, and turn 1 she changed my hero power, I use vilefin inquisitor, she changes the power back next turn. I was like HAX

Also I just drafted what seems like it will be a pretty fun arena run. I went mage because I'm scummy that way. Double legendary deck with a medium amount of elemental synergy. All I needed was a blaze caller and that would have put this deck over the top. Hoping for 8+ wins.
