Damn. I hate to see this board get torn apart like this bc of politics. You'd think there'd be more reasonable people here, but it feels like people are just as segregated between ideologies here as in real life.

And that's fine. I never said "let's all agree on everything." You can disagree with someone without punching them in the face or yelling at them. That's what I'm advocating against. There's a lot of vitriol on both sides with violence irl and keyboard warriors yelling through their screens on places like this. We need more moderate people or people who can agree to disagree.

I think those of us more moderate people should fight against the two poles, like the "Nazis" you mentioned. If every republican-minded person chose to admonish those kinds of people, things would get better in a hurry. Same for democrats and the skinny liberals who want to punch everyone who disagrees with their map of 40 different genders and sexualities or call a war with the police.

If you look at my post, I never advocated punching anyone. I'm very much against violence.

My argument is two pronged;
- First, if you advocate an ideology that actively censors freedom of speech and calls for the violation of basic human rights, you can't then hide behind freedom of speech and your basic rights to spread your venom.
- Second, if they say stupid shit, or occupy somewhere public, because they have the freedom to be idiots, I have the freedom to walk up and call them idiots. It's my right too and I'm not going to just sit around and go 'Oh well, it'll blow over'. I actively hate them, and I'm totally willing to say that.
