Metallica bought the rights to the movie so they could keep showing their music video without paying royalties.

Yeah it's Johny Got His Gun. I'd like to see the actual movie someday but as far as I know there isn't any LEGAL way to do it and I'm pretty sure the quality isn't very good even through illegal means

Shout! Factory released it on DVD in USA in 2009, so it might be easier than you think.
