Oh, LPT stands for life Life Pro Tip.

tbh, never really understood how people can get bored unless they're stuck somewhere with nothing to do but even then you've got your imagination or, if you're waiting for something, it gives you prep time.

EDIT: Or if they're stuck doing something boring. Granted, you can't really do much to cure that except find a way to get other people to do the boring stuff (ie, if you're working "hire" an intern (I say "hire" but a lot of the suckers work for free) or if you're doing something around your own property hire somebody else to do it)

Get a treadmill and game while using it. Or watch a movie on your phone while walking. Bam, exercise AND entertainment! (Also Pokemon Go arguably combines the two.)

It might have something to do with not having a job.
I don't remember what that's like, but that's what I imagine it is.

I'm always happy to have some time off though, I have a lot of stuff to do. Even if it's just for games for me and my friends, they take a lot of prep time.

If they don't have a job, they should be occupying their time looking for one, though. And in their spare time they should be researching skills which would help them move along in either their chosen profession or ones that would help them get into a new profession.

As a kid, I can't ever recall being bored but I read a lot and had hobbies.

I have a job. I just get bored easily when playing games for hours.

Yeah sure, it's nice to say those sorts of things, but at the end of the day I honestly don't know what that's like (and I'm willing to bet you don't know either).
And also researching skills is useless unless you're certified in that thing, which costs money.

Now, getting some s****y low paying job? That's just learning how to accept worse spots.

This actually.
Sometimes if what I'm doing isn't MORE intense than my job I get bored.

That really depends on the perspective employer. There are people who get obsessed with titles, certifications, and what you can do on paper (typically corporations with hierarchies and a lot of bureaucracy) whereas others are more interested in what you can actually do. Unless the certification is a legal requirement, it doesn't necessarily matter. Plus, if you're learning a program, it might not necessarily require a certification.

And, if it's a skill related to something you have a degree in, you already have the on-paper and should be focused on improving your ability. Doubly so because skills atrophy when they aren't used.
