A second expansion already? I haven't played in two years though, but enjoyed it when I did. It's very casual friendly. I know a lot of people hate that in MMOs, but I like to be able to accomplish a lot solo or with minimal grouping.

Yes it's still active. I think if you order Path of Fire they offer Heart of Thorns as a bundle for $50 total (NA). Either one gets you the base game free of restrictions since the base game is F2P now so if you wanted to give it a shot you can at no risk.

Just remembered you have it already but yeah. You can get HoT or PoF, Path of Fire is standalone so you don't need HoT if you can't get it yet.

I was really iffy on the mount system in Path of Fire but it feels amazing in terms of how they control and you use them. It won me over how they implemented it because they are actually useful in gameplay.

Yeah, this one is a proper expansion. The first map is huge, they let us try it out in a demo a few weeks ago. It wasn't even the entire first map of the expansion and it was still pretty huge with a lot to do. Heart of Thorns was a bit of a letdown for them but I can already tell they've done this one right. It's a proper expansion.

I'd go back but I'd rather not be locked out of half of the items just because I stopped playing. End game was just me doing AH.

Season 1 Living World isn't replayable, you can get a lot of the rewards for it via Laurel Vendors though and these special boxes they're selling now if you want to go that route. They wanted to make it replayable but the logistics are pretty rough for them. They were asked about such things at Gamescom:

4. I know a lot of you miss Queen's Jubilee and Dragon Bash, so I asked what happened to them. It turns out that due to the changes in tech, both of those events need updating just like Super Adventure Box did and that's the reason why we haven't seen them lately. Queen's Jubilee also requires changes in the balance due to new elite specs coming in the expansion. Some of the bosses in the gauntlet could end up being too easy. Mike said that they want to bring back both events in the future.

Also SAB isn't available at all times but it comes back every year as an event. A lot more endgame content to do nowadays with a ton of Fractals, high level map meta events and Raids.
