All the medical schools require math and science knowledge to pass their admissions tests, and some require the students to have a set amount of science based credits to even apply. It's semantics really since technically all degrees "matter" in at least one case. I just took "matter" based on the way the OP was formatted as strong majors that have notable utility and people with said majors don't have much trouble at all finding careers that suit their field (lot of options). I personally do not see a major that can just do some things another major can do but even less is all that great of a major.
