Miraculous Ladybug

My neice legitimately watches it every day. I've probably seen each episode twice by now because that's all she plays in netflix. So now I'm reading into interviews by the showrunners and a bunch of nonsense theories about the vast dynamics for the next season.

Is this how the MLP fans started?

UGH, I always hate it when people quote my messages that I don't proofread.

No.
It started with one guy watching it just because of Lauren Faust involvement, and he liked it.
He spread the word and people believed that he trolled. To keep the trolling rolling, people started to watch it just to grab screenshots so they could spam around them, and they discovered that they liked what they saw.

It's the strongly written character personalities that attract people to both shows. My niece went through a MLP phase too, and I thought it was surprisingly decent. We truly are in a golden age for cartoons. For the first time ever, we have showrunners for cartoons that care about the authenticity of their craft.

I'm still too disappointed by the switch to CGI to watch it.

90s kids grow up and have careers in making cartoons and its the second renaissance of great cartoons - coincidence? i think not.

It's animated by Toei, right? The same company that's too cheap to reintroduce Cell in DB Super because the spots would take too much effort to animate. In the financial powerhouse that is DBZ.

There was no way they would've done it for Ladybug

Ladybug's spots actually are part of the reason they switched lol. But Toei can do good work when they're not just milking a cash cow, and Ladybug's original PV was promising.

I saw it yesterday and the animation for the PV was excellent. But Toei is always gonna Toei, so the final product would've looked like shit if it were an anime.
