Oh man, can you actually imagine the mess if this thing were to stay south and hit Texas?

Has any place gotten hit by two hurricanes in a row before?

Don't feel like checking, but probably Florida and Louisiana.

When it gets to that point, they should just color code the map based on how bad the hurricane is in each general area.

I think it's a direct hit and the storm is bigger than the island. Pretty dire situation.

Yeah Louisiana got hit by Katrina and Rita with not even a month in between back in 2004 or 2005 I think.

Not to come off as spewing Republican bullshit or anything, but look up Project HAARP. It's weather control. Harvey should have hit Rockport/Corpus Christi, not Houston.

There was a MASSIVE instantaneous burst of energy seen on satellite in/near Corpus Christi when Harvey was approaching and moving west; after the burst, it started moving northwest.

YouTube "HAARP Hurricane Harvey." They say that HAARP has been discontinued. Riiight... just like Project Bluebook. I'm sure the Air Force no longer has interest in UFOs.

Hurricanes Charley, Frances, and Jeanne all hit Florida within 35 days between August and September of 2004. Ivan hit Alabama, but also impacted Florida, within that time-frame. Frances and Jeanne made landfall just 20 miles and 2 weeks apart, the only time such an event has happened in such close proximity on both accounts.

Hurricane Katrina hit Florida (long before becoming a monster) in August 2005, and then Wilma hit in October of that year (well after obliterating Cancun.)

Trivial fact: Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne were only the third and fourth time Walt Disney World had ever closed, in it's then 33 years. Prior closures were from Hurricane Floyd in 1999, and an evacuation/closure during 9/11. The only other time it closed was as a precaution for Hurricane Matthew, last year.

Not sure if sarcasm or ignorance, but Hurricane Harvey's eye did landfall on Rockport. It was predicted days in advance that it would bring catastrophic rain to Texas, wherever it hit. There was no "sudden burst" over land, Harvey merely weakened slowly. It did strengthen prior to landfall, which isn't unusual, given the warm waters it had to feed from.

If you want to be weird and type nonsensical conspiracies, at least stick to the regular ones like 9/11 and Hurricane Erin, Hurricane Andrew and the Bermuda Triangle energies, or Hurricane Patricia and the space Quetzal. They're all so far-fetched, and niche, that at least as a meteorological enthusiast, I know you're being authentically delusional and the red flag is raised.

Here in Florida I think we got dinged with everything that came over the Atlantic for the first few storms of 2004 (Charley, Francis, Ivan, and Jean).

They were relatively minor as hurricanes, though (even if Charley didn't know when to leave). The last truly monstrous thing to threaten the state before Matthew last year was probably Floyd in 1999.

FinalXemnas posted...
Please miss Florida like Matthew.

As someone who lives on the east coast, I'm not fond of it. Matthew skirted the line and basically the only reason we got off as we did was because it was just far enough off shore to give the coastal counties like Cat 2-levels of wind to endure. Like 20 miles closer and everything would have been proper screwed.
