They've committed no crime(under either moral or legal standards), and they very frequently have no real solution to their situation without something like DACA. They can't gain legal status without leaving the country, but they have no home anywhere else to go to.

If you want open borders, then drum up a national debate and have congress decide that. Otherwise, the laws need to be enforced, and enforced on all people coming into this country.
