Rarely. I drink perhaps 1-2 cups of water daily. Most of my liquid intake is coffee/pop/milk.

Mostly sparkling water currently. Will probably switch to regular water eventually.

Typically an entire Britta filter container from my fridge -- enough to fill two stadium-sized soda collector cups. Very helpful after doing cardio, but also useful in helping to quell hunger on a non-workout day.

In reality I should drink even more water than I do, but sometimes a Coke Vanilla Zero calls my name and that's that.

9-12 cups but that's in the form of Tea.

I drink a mug of tea everyday in the morning. I used to drink more tea than that but I've cut back on it.

On average probably about a gallon if I don't get too caught up with work or video games. I kinda just go with the notion that if my urine isn't clear or close to it, I need to drink more water.

I think it is one cup/eight ounces every hour which, assuming 16 hour of being awake, is about a gallon a day.

Coca Cola might not have been a good example but I heard/read of overhydration/hyponatremia as well. It basically messes up the balance of electrolytes and sodium in your body if it gets too diluted. I think a woman who was in a water drinking contest for a Nintendo Wii yay back did later died of hyponatremia.

The supposed recommendation is drinking a gallon a day -- which means at least that amount -- but the recommendation isn't based on any actual science and a person's needs may be smaller or greater depending on their body type, health conditions, genetics, etc. However, you're unlikely to run into harm if you drink 3 gallons a day provided you're not force-drinking yourself over a short-period of time and then holding your urine in an attempt to win a game system.

Ironically, soda would make you less likely to die of hyponatremia because the amount of sodium intake would likely exceed the sodium lost. Granted, I assume it might prove fatal in some other fashion, though.

And technically it wasn't so much a water-drinking contest as it was a "hold your pee" contest. Hence the contest name, "Hold your wee for a Wii."

Rarely ever drink plain water.

It's been poison since the great flood.

Mostly Coffee, Rockstar and Booze.
