Sure it seems random but the dialogue is top notch compared to what else is out there. Also there's actual continuity. I watched the whole second season and it was a nice way to spend 20 minutes here and there, it's like a less fun Futurama For some reason there are people who LOVE it and think it's sooo deep because Rick talks about nihilism every episode and sooo funny because he does it while burping.
