It's only 20 coins for deflect missile, so why not have an extra counter. Distant defense and Panic ploy are probably the best upgrades. Speed seal is also tempting.

I think they changed how bonuses are triggered. It used to be a ten percent gap was required but looks like only around one percent now. I'm holding out for tomorrow

Grabbing a deflect missile just to have one seems solid though.

i have a feeling it will (if it happens) in the second intermission. of course im basing this off literally nothing, but under intermission it says "intermission 1" so it could add in further story quests under that tab.

Level 2 to Level 3 is 100 coins 400 big blue badges 1000 little blue badges

It's a good thing I used to waste stamina in the training tower then. Coins should still be the limiting factor for me

On the one hand having some extras is nice. On the other hand they've tripled the number of badges you get or so so it shouldn't be too bad even if you're like me and just let stamina overflow all the time.

Little badges are actually the limiter for me, as I'd tended to be using level up items to get people to 20.

my lowest small badge count is blue at 1836. probably due to spending tons on promotions for SI. Subakis, Odins, Shannas, Florinas, MRobins, FCorrins. based on the great badge count, i seem to play significantly more on whatever day they award colorless and significantly less on the day they award green. red and blue are about even.

I'm glad we can finally make use of our excess badges. It would have been a scummy move if they made us use orbs and/or feathers.

im sitting at 109k feathers so i'd welcome that (though i could probably promote like chrom/camilla and a few others in rarity I guess)

My lowest little badge count is 2977, and big badge is 1154. I feel rich now.

You can spend a lot of feathers very quickly on merges and skill inheritance. Better to spend badges

at this point, they're pretty much only for VG, when you get totally fucked by a matchup during bonus time. i did use a few back in the day for lunatic 9-5 and a couple others after that, but that sort of use has become obsolete.

I still use them once in a while on "no one may die" quests for lunatic missions. Just saves some headache sometimes.

Seriously, who designed the boat map? Literally every arena death I've had to deal with when going for the streak has been there.

it's pretty awful. i just outright lost there when i wasn't even trying to go deathless, just get 4k and drop to tier 19.

Never had issues with the boat map. The map where teams are connected by the two vertical one panel corridors surrounded by water is the one that screws me most I think.

Really, most of the Arena maps are awful. There's nothing fun about endless choke points and claustrophobic corridors that are tailor made for cavalry + dancers to abuse the hell out of.

Yeah Light Blessings are good for saving a Voting Gauntlet run. Though I usually only do it when I'm on a bonus.

Bridge map is cancerous in arena. You almost always have to fight horses on there too....

The thing about the bridge map is that you can bait out the ranged horse and then try and re-arrange afterward. If you run into Horse Emblem + Dancer on that map I posted, good fucking luck trying to predict which horse the AI's gonna send your way.

i think the one you posted and the boat are probably the two worst right now, but the double bridge was hell in that first month or two before SI.

How aggressively do you guys break walls? I feel like the recurring theme with the "difficult" maps is that there are breakable walls. Maybe there's a difference in our approach to those types of maps-- I tend to mash all the walls on my side asap and keep back, let the enemy spread themselves out rather than trying to bait the attack as soon as I can. With MSG's map sometimes against horse emblem I leave the center wall up to try and send horses to the side lanes.

Might be worth trying to figure out some sorta wall breaking strategy that works best overall I dunno.

Double bridge is easymode compared to the others.. You have waaay more room to bait people out.
