I got the US one, so it only comes with the cd, but hey, still looks cool. I still need to beat all the Primes (including the two spinoffs), and Metroid II: The Return of Samus before I can play this though.

Seriously, it's really good. Some people were wary because of MercurySteam's poor track record, but they actually pulled off a pretty good game. I think they needed a good guiding hand. It especially helps that we haven't had a good Metroid game since Prime 3.

I hope this sells well. Metroid is hard to gauge because the internet loves it, so it seems popular, but then the internet popularity does not translate to sales.

It doesn't help Japan would rather have Wii party U than Metroid.

So far it seems like it's No.8 on the top UK sales charts, and Nintendo doesn't usually even get up there even with their best games. So that's a decent sign.

The best thing about the UK charts is that typically you can assume the game will probably be higher on the North American charts since Nintendo is more popular out here than over in the UK.

imo mirror of fate was pretty fun, a solid 7.5/10. and then lords of shadow 2 has its flaws but it's very underrated, the castle part of the game is a legitimate perfect transition of the metroidvania style gameplay to 3d with good design. it's such a shame the modern world part was so poor and dreary in comparison

I'll be honest, I haven't played Lords of Shadow 2 or Mirror of Fate (but I own both), but I honestly really enjoyed LoS1. I'll have to give them a try at some point.

I am a little worried still though about sales. I looked at numbers for Japan, and it seems to be right around the area of Zero Mission, which happens to be the lowest selling 2d game for Metroid (less than a million as well). I am hoping America and Europe go above where they were for Zero Mission. It is just a shame Japan hates Metroid, the series seems like it would be up their alley to be honest.

I hear Metroid is one of the few Nintendo series that the UK actually likes though.

I've never heard of the UK liking Metroid

I could be wrong tho

That is something that I just feel like I heard, but I do not know for sure.
