Basically all east european countries that are not members of the EU are third world countries.
Including Turkey: They just got the message that they will never be a part of the European Union.

Aren't tons of Polish migrating from Poland for better opportunities in the EU?

That's just because Poland is still a younger member of the EU. They are not quit up there yet with the rest of the EU. Spain had the same problem years ago when they joinded the EU.
