First I found the element of fear is inconsistent or just not believable, immediately after Pennywise attacks the kids they are high functioning, no shaking, no loss for words etc they dont even discuss their experiences until Bill brings it up, youd think it would be the most pressing topic of conversation. This is most apparent after the first battle at the house when they walk out and the focus immediately switches to Eddies mom taking him away.

Second was the portrayal of Pennywise, moreso how his becomes timid under pressure and showing his hand in regards to his need to feed on fear, I think in the book Mike deduces that he feeds on fear. Overall I loved the performance but he was maybe a little too aloof and childlike.

Isn't that what happens? I thought he states "That's why you didn't eat Beverly. She wasn't afraid of you."
