Like Elena before her, Cissnei only has one really good finish to her name to go along with a boot. Her best performance is a little better and she's generally a little less mediocre than Elena, so her STATS are a little better. And like Elena before her, Cissnei did just enough to barely increase her STATS, as she bumps up a bit from 35.41% to 35.51% but doesn't pass anybody, so she stays at 82nd place.

However, unlike Elena, Cissnei has done enough to qualify for New Era STATS, but taking out that CXIII performance raises her STATS just enough that she actually slightly goes down there, falling from 36.59% to 36.47%, holding at 76th place.

Rydia is a statistical anomaly in a lot of ways. She's the only character in the top ten of the STATS with a boot. She's one of the rare characters with a championship and a boot (although that's becoming increasingly less rare; we're up to 7 of those now). She's also one of two characters with a first place and a last place finish, as well as one of two characters with multiple finals appearances and a boot. Her performances are overwhelmingly great, which is why she's able to cancel out the rare bad ones. This is her first bottom half finish in 11 contests and only her third overall. Rydia has 14 top 25 finishes in 18 appearances, with 8 of those being top 10s and five of those being top 5s. She's only had one contest that wasn't a top 25 or a bottom half finish, and that was last year.

This poor finish hurts Rydia a decent bit as you can image. She drops from 78.90% to 76.57%, falling from 5th past Zidane, Celes, Vivi, and Terra to land at 9th place. It's an even bigger slide in the New Era, as she slips from 84.42% to 76.52%, going below Rikku, Cloud, Tidus, Yuna, and Vivi to fall from 7th to 12th place. Yuna now joins the New Era top ten.

I don't think it really would have worked out in the end anyways. It was far more challenging to find people to trade with than I expected and seemed to get worse over time. Even though there was only a small chance they would have to pay up (I wasn't even close to being able to cash in), people seemed to prefer watching a character they support get eliminated then make a trade.

I think you probably would've gotten more takers later on. Right now people are still able to save their main priorities and they're comfortable with the risk of letting lesser priorities go. Like, I'm pretty sure there's been less than ten NRs total this whole contest so far. They start getting thrown out like candy later and I bet quite a few people would've jumped on your trade deals.

That might be true. I guess there's nothing stopping me from starting over with another character to find out. I'm not really sure who, though. I want a character who at least has a small chance to make Top 10 but it can't be a character like Lightning or Ariana who is a bit too likely to last to the Top 10.
