The story and mandatory events take up so much time that there's barely any time to increase your social links or stats let alone visit Mementos. Every time I want to do something at night the game tells me I can only sleep

That said the games are still amazing, I guess it's part of how they get you to play again, to see if you can optimize the time they give you

Yeah there's something nice about games like Final Fantasy where you can go all over the world at certain points for as long as you want

they want you to play a second new game+ playthrough where you already have your "stats" maxed (the things like charm, intelligence, etc that pertain to how and who your character can interact with) in order to get things 100%

Yeah but you have to really optimize it so that you don't answer any questions wrong which is kinda hard if you want to play without a guide

Well, that's the point, you're not really supposed to 100% everything in a non NG+ playtrhough. You can do it but typically it requires a guide, serious management and/or knowing to unlock certain things as early as possible like the Temperance link in P5.

Yeah, I guess it's fine but it feels a little weird is all, like I can't see all the content of the game due to the time constraints. But I'll probably play ng+ anyway

however it is realistic. japanese teens don't have much free time in their lives

I don't know why the game gives you so many nights where you can't do anything except sleep. There's no point to them, they should just be skipped.

I agree, I wonder the same thing and the only thing I can think of is that they're trying to give you an opportunity to save.

in P3 and P4, they would just skip those little interstitials.

and everyone hated it because you couldn't save, and it would be literal multiple in game day cutscenes that sucked ass.

so they added them to P5, so you could save in between them.

and everyone hates it because no one likes anything.

I managed to 100% confidants on first play through but needed guide for correct answers (which i mostly used for the sake of time since i could have just saved and restarted when i failed to give a right answer). Time management is easier than its ever been with considerable wiggle room. I didnt follow a guide on the scheduling and still had like 2 weeks of nothing to do but go to the gym.

Exactly why I avoid playing the main Persona games, no matter how much I love the series or characters, if your game is gonna rush the hell out of me, or put me on a timer, technically, then I have no interest in playing your game, let me do what I want, whenever I want, without being on a goddamn timer, it's why I have no interest in Majora's Mask.....
