I spent many years working at a cash station, and every time we cashed out we were a couple bucks ahead because of all the people that say "keep the change". Letting someone have it when they were a couple cents short literally never mattered. If your cashier doesn't let you get away with it, it means they are actually keeping the change and they have no wiggle room on the balance sheet. i've seen plenty of places where the cashier literally dropped it right in the pan for that reason, as soon as you said keep it. now what they did at the end of the day idk, but i've also made use of those change things once in awhile. and seen others do it. now my brothers fiance used to be a manager at a store and as long as the workers were 100% sure they where correct in their drawers being over, she'd let them keep what was over because they made minimum wage. which honestly i'd be fine with letting them keep the change for that too. its not as much as i'd tip a waitress or something like that, but its better than nothing --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
