Do you think it's creepy that teen girls must submit a photo of themselves in their dress to get "approved"?

The Pewaukee School District in Wisconsin is forcing Female Students to SUBMIT PHOTOS of their outfits before they go to homecoming dance in order to buy their tickets or else they can't go!!

The Dress Code aims to prevent female students from being kicked out of the dance for wearing something it deeps inappropriate

They must prove that their dresses are appropriate by sending pictures of their front and back of their dresses for EVERY DANCE. Boys are NOT required to submit photos of their attire

Girls are not allowed to wear spaghetti straps, show midriff, show cleavage or have a skirt that his shorter than a fingertip length.

The maority of the dress code is aimed at women's clothing as it states "Shorts and skirts must be of an appropriate length. Shorts or skirts must extend below the mid-thigh". It sayss "If your shirt or blouse has a low cut neckline and/or is too revealing it should not be owrn.

This was put in place in 2015 but a recent email reminding of students of the requirement has some questioning if this is sexist.

Mike Cady, superintendent said most of the feedback regarding the policy has been "positive" and that most of the backlash was on social media.

Some students would rather not go to a dance than to have an administrator approve what they wear.

Nicole Stark, a 17 y/o senor is not going as she said "I think the fact that we have to submit a photo of ourselves wearing it front and back is a little bit creepy to me. Honestly, i would rather get turned away at the door than to have to send a picture of myself wearing a dress".

Rebecca Sheperd, a mother of a female student said the policy is harmful to women and said "The girls are essentially being held responsible for the wayward thoughts (administrators) think boys have. They're being told, they are the problem. These are the roots of rape culture frankly"

Do you think it's creepy that teen girls have to show pictures of themselves in dresses? let's see what people thik

Nope. I mean it'll save a lot of hassle when girls turn up 'not knowing' what's allowed and what isn't.

That school's principal likely has a folder on his computer dedicated to his students' dress photos that he faps to every night before bed (especially the "rejected" photos)

What is up with people not carrying about the dress code? Men wear pretty basic stuff . A suit and tie. They don't have reveling clothing or items to really be deemed unnecessary. Woman have a much much larger variety of what they wear. Therefore they have a stricter dress code. Them submitting pics isn't creepy in the slightest. People just like to make a ruckus about anything now a days. Everyone is offended.

I get the point, but it's discriminating that the boys musn't do the same. And no, it's not creepy, just weird.

Yeah. Don't want boys turning up in short mini skirts and low cut tops!

Seems like a less problematic system than the old one. I approve.

Because boys have very variety and, if they try to do anything different, they get kicked out.

I can see why they'd do that, but if that was me I wouldn't have been comfortable doing that so I would've just skipped the dance.

Because one of the school administrators is going to have a folder on their computer with pictures of each girl. The request itself isn't creepy, but it'd take very, very little for somebody to flagrantly abuse the policy to get some fapping material.
